Things I have recently discovered:

About Young Women's
*I love Young Womens! I am a laurel advisor to the best Young Women ever!
*A new value (virtue) has been added to the theme, so needless to say I was very thrown off by that for the first couple weeks.
*Also regarding Young Women's the necklace has changed as well as the personal progress book.

About Mike and Ike
*I love feta cheese
*I love the orange colored sixlets I think it taste different than the rest of them
*Everyone I know is having a baby and Im just beginning to think about getting a dog
*Looking for a new place to move is stressful!
*I can no longer be taken to Tri-City Americans Hockey vs Spokane Chiefs games (I get violent)
*I am going to learn how to ski
*I am seriously contemplating going to nursing school
*Zumba is going to become my new best friend
*Mike is learning the guitar and he is actually pretty good at it
*Mike is coaching pee-wee hockey
*The team Mike plays hockey on is the #1 team in his league

That is it for now, Im sure (well at least I hope) I have learned more stuff but thats all I can think of at the moment.

Love and a Birthday

Yesterday was a big day in the Thompson household, not only was it Valentines Day but it was also Mike's birthday!

I have always been a birthday lover and love to make big deals about birthdays, and seeing how Mike's birthday lands on a holiday I had to make it extra special.

So I got off work early and rushed home and started making dinner (which turned out AMAZING... who would have ever thought I would be such a good cook).

Then while Mike was taking a quick shower I hid presents around the house and sent him on a treasure hunt.

It was so fun/cute to see him try to figure out the clues and then running around the house looking for the presents.

After all the present were found we enjoyed a giant cupcake.



It was a great birthday and Valentines day! Mike even had a couple Valentines day surprises for me!

Strawberry Lemonade Cupcakes

Recently I have become obsessed with making cupcakes! They are the latest fad but I have loved cupcakes forever they have always been my favorite. I work with a couple of other gals who love cupcakes so we are always bouncing cupcake ideas off of each other. We want to open a cupcake shop someday....

My latest creation was Strawberry Lemonade... and I must say they were amazing!


I never blog and it bugs me so I am going to try to blog more.

Cake Mix Brownies

This is a super easy, quick and very yummy recipe! I am not a big chocolate brownie fan so this was perfect and oh so tasty!



NEEDS:
1 white cake mix (box)
2 eggs
1/3 cup oil
1 cup chocolate chips (I like semi-sweet)

Mix the ingredients in a mixing bowl, lightly grease a 9 X 13 pan, spread mixture into pan and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. These are fantastic and SO EASY!

Hike

Me and Mike decided yesterday we would go on a day hike.



Total it was about a 6 mile hike, which wasnt too bad but boy are my legs sore today.

Reunited

I forgot how much I love Tim McGraw!

He opened with Real Good Man, which just so happens to be my favorite Tim McGraw song, it was perfect! I could barely contain myself!
